Between this website's improper use of Hanyu Pinyin for titles that can be translated more easily understood names plus people racist towards Chinese loving to make fun of anything Chinese.. yeah, its likely this one gets forgotten!

This one honestly seems much better than all chinese shows I've tried to watch before, so I will give this one a shot.

I tried, but didn't like:
- Wu Shang Shen Di
- Xianwu Emperor
- Against the Sky Supreme
- Wan Jie Xian Zong
- King of the Phoenix
- Dubu Xiaoyao

Just like there's a lot of Japanese garbage anime, there's a also a lot of Chinese garbage shows. You just gotta find the gems, but I haven't really found a Chinese gem yet. Also some shows have episodes of like 6 to 10 minutes, including intro/outro song. And then there's the 3D animation instead of just well-drawn 2D. It just takes away from the experience imo.

This has nothing to do with racism however, just like how I find japanese Anime 1000x better than Western cartoons doesn't mean I'm racist against the West.

Do you have any recommendations? Just to name some random anime that I found to be gems: Code Geass, Kimetsu no Yaiba, Shinsekai Yori, Bleach, One Piece, Shingeki no Kyojin, Re: Zero. Is there anything like it in the chinese sphere? If yes I would be interested in watching those.

nowadays you cant take a sh1t without being called racist ..that being said there are a few chinese animations that are actually good.. but you have to understand that their industry is newer so allot of subtleties simply dont exist in donghuas. some that i really like are

Tunshi Xingkong
Wanmei Shijie
Shen Yin Wangzuo
Yinhe Zhi Xin
Zi Chuan
Jade dynasty (altho not perfect it has allot of potential)

all of these have pretty good story and MC's also excellent animation and if cultivation donghuas are up you alley there's plenty more where these came from but few come close the their qualty

Yi Nian Yong Heng as they named it here, the MC is intelligent and a powerful Tank

Yeah i wast told, at least that part makes sense then. Not patient enough to watch it without time skips, this looks and moves too bad, the voice acting and writing is pretty cringe too, reminds me of the resident evil one, not as bad, obviously, but has the same awkward to watch feel

Its not horrible, but it IS kind of bad and robotic. Plot wise its pretty bad so far, and the characters are cardboard cutouts, some even literal lazy caricatures, like say the mad scientist, literally like something out of a 70's cartoon

My point is that there are a few good animations made by chinese studios but most are worse than this.. allot worse. A survival game plot is something of a novelty for donghuas so im curious what's their take on the subject.. if i would be nitpicking there are allot of thing i could say about this animation honestly there is vary little that they did right but at the same time its early for a verdict

I i know how bad they can botch 3d (movies and even anime too for that matter), but i'm not gonna compare it against their other works but against a global standard. As for the plot... Its actually pretty rare to see this kind of plot anywhere, let alone done well... But at the same time i've read a ton of GREAT Japanese and Russian novels on the theme and similar ones so guess i've been spoiled by how good some of these are.

yeah we'll see how this will turn out. I dont expect too much but i have some hope this can at least help me pass some time. There's simply not enough things to watch and i include even the bad ones here
